Rehearsed readings of 10-minute plays

By Tasmanian Playwrights

Writing Paper

Mission

To provide local writers, actors, and directors with the opportunity to gain experience, develop their skills and share their work.

About

Submit your 10-minute play, have it rehearsed with actors and a director, and then see it performed (script in hand) on stage for an audience. PAGE to STAGE is the perfect setting to try your hand at writing and or hear how an audience responds to your new work.  There are two Heats during the year and a Final.

Casting and rehearsal both happen on the day of each Heat. It's a whirlwind of energy and excitement that brings local artists together. The Heats conclude with a group debrief for all participants. The top three plays from each Heat go through to the Final.

For the Final, each play will have several weeks to prepare and rehearse before performing under lights, with various awards will be on offer. So, writers, get writing!

Furthermore, we encourage everyone, including actors and directors to make contact as soon as possible to ensure they can take part.
